This Privacy Policy describes how Edoku (“the App”) handles information when you use the App.

1. Information We Handle

Edoku is designed as an offline-playable puzzle app. We do not sell your personal information.

The App may handle the following information:

• Gameplay data, such as solved puzzles, play time, hints used, mistakes, statistics, and progress.
• App preferences, such as theme, gameplay settings, reminder settings, and selected drawing pack.
• Purchase status, such as whether Full Access is active.
• Game Center information, such as your Game Center player identity, display name, leaderboard submissions, scores, and rankings, if you use Game Center.
• Local notification settings, if you choose to enable Daily Grid reminders.
• Anonymous product events, such as first app open, puzzle start and completion, app return, Full Access screen views, and purchase or restore outcomes.

Product events do not include puzzle contents, scores, XP, Game Center identity, names, email addresses, or user-entered text.

2. Where Information Is Stored

• On your device: gameplay progress, statistics, app preferences, selected drawing pack, reminder settings, and active game state.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit: purchase and entitlement information for Full Access.
• Apple Game Center: leaderboard submissions, ranking data, and Game Center player information.
• Apple local notifications: Daily Grid reminders scheduled by the App when you enable them.
• PostHog EU Cloud: anonymous product events and limited app metadata.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to provide and improve the App experience, including:

• Saving your local progress and preferences.
• Showing gameplay statistics.
• Enabling Full Access after purchase.
• Restoring purchases.
• Submitting and displaying Game Center leaderboard results.
• Scheduling Daily Grid reminders if you enable them.
• Measuring app use, puzzle completion, return activity, and the Full Access purchase flow.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information is shared with Apple services required for App functionality, including the App Store, StoreKit, Game Center, and local notification services.

Edoku also uses PostHog EU Cloud to process anonymous product events. Edoku does not send PostHog your puzzle contents, scores, XP, Game Center identity, name, email address, or user-entered text.

5. Product Analytics

Release builds send a fixed set of anonymous product events to PostHog EU Cloud. These events help us understand if players start and complete puzzles, return to the App, view Full Access, and complete or cancel purchase and restore actions.

Edoku does not use these events to identify you or create a player profile. Product analytics does not change your gameplay, score, progress, entitlement, or saved sessions.

6. Game Center

If you use Game Center, your leaderboard activity is handled by Apple Game Center and may be visible according to your Game Center settings. You can manage Game Center in your iOS settings.

7. Purchases

Full Access purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Edoku does not receive or store your payment card details.

8. Notifications

Daily Grid reminders are optional and off by default. If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. You can disable reminders in the App or manage notification permissions in iOS settings.

9. Retention

Local gameplay data and preferences remain on your device unless you delete the App or reset relevant data through available App or iOS options.

Game Center and App Store purchase information are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies and your Apple account settings.

Anonymous product events remain in PostHog according to the configured project retention settings.

10. Children’s Privacy

Edoku is not directed to children under the age required by local law for consent to data processing.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
